Its been a year...

It has been a year since my last post... Time sure does fly.
Things have sure changed since last January. Tiana is now 4, Hezekiah is almost 20 months and our newest addition Malie Noelle is 6 days old. We also now live in Corvallis, Oregon and Dave just started his Construction Engineering Management program at Oregon State University the day before Malie was born. Its a bit crazy.
We haven't totally settled here in Oregon yet. We haven't found a home church yet and are still getting use to the weather here. We are homeschooling Tiana for preschool which has(thank God) become more of a joy than a fear. It has been so awesome watching Tiana and Hezekiah's relationship build as he gets older and they spend SO much time together since we don't know anyone else in this town.
Well that's a brief update on us and hopefully I'll be able to post more often this year!
Happy New Year!

January....

Hello...
January is here and will soon be gone. Its the new year and with that comes contemplation of last year and a refocusing of all the goals I want to accomplish this year.
We've already made a big decision- that aligns with some of our family goals- to homeschool the kids. I'm not sure if its a forever thing but am kind of feeling like it is. As crazy as it is to think about what I'm getting myself into I'm really excited because I KNOW its the right decision for our family. We have begun to turn our garage/ playroom in to a sort of montessori preschool setting for Tiana and also giving Hezekiah a area to do some exploring of his own. I will post some pics when we're done.
Tiana is now 3 and Hez is 8 1/2 months, army crawling and now eating cheerios. I feel like I have to start at least thinking about his 1 year old party but at the same time don't want to because I feel like I just gave birth to him. Time is just flying.
Dave just started his last semester at the community college and will hopefully be starting his construction management program at CalPoly in the fall. All very exciting.
I have been busy with the little ones, really enjoying the simple moments(taking walks, going to the playground, playing with blocks and ti's new favorite game, memory) and trying to make sure to include them in as many of my activities as I can. Tiana and I have been baking, cooking and doing dishes together a lot lately and I have come to love these moment with her.
I guess I'm kind of rambling on right now but my point is I'm really excited for this year. I feel like its going to be a very full year. Full of great family time, Full of the more of the Lord, Full of reaching out to others and doing what we can... Just FULL.

fall is here.

Its raining outside right now. There is something about this weather that grounds me a little. I refocus. Maybe because nothing about the rain outside makes me want to load the car with the kids and go go go. So we're inside coloring and playing games, cleaning the house to make more room so I don't go crazy inside the house. I like this feeling. This feeling of being still.
Since having kids I feel like my contemplative life has been on the back burner. Don't ask me for any deep thoughts or anything, you will be sorely disappointed with my response. But when its raining, I feel like I have a chance to muster up a thought or two.

Good Bye Summer...
Summer was good while it lasted... I guess we're a little excited for this new season of fall as well as of life.
Hezekiah is now 4 1/2 months weighing in at 16.5 lbs and 26 inches long. He is just getting so big so fast. He now turns over and has a laugh that is contagious.
Tiana is sooo BIG and such a funny, sweet little girl. She just started taking dance classes. Ballet and tap. It really is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I'll try to attach a video of her dancing at our farmer's market which will help you to understand why her in ballet is so funny.
Dave is doing great in school but is constantly busy. He doesn't have much free time but is able to have a laugh at tiana's dance class.
I have been having a great time with the two little ones. As cheesy as this sounds they really are such a JOY to be around. I am truly blessed. But other than my little joys, I've pretty much have gone from hobby to hobby trying to find other ways to express myself and give back to the world and bless people etc. I just finished taking a sewing class and think that there might be something there but am not sure how far its going to go. We'll see...
